Released our first music production single! 🥳🔊
5 years ago, during the darkest days of COVID I assembled a virtual choir of Navy people to sing a cover of “The Blessing.” Submitted last week for commercial distribution** on the exact day of it’s 5th anniversary, it's been covered by choirs world-wide, but I haven’t seen anyone do what we did, scattered as we were, literally all over the world, even on ships at sea!
**The revenue model for streaming makes it virtually impossible for indie artists to make money from cover songs - all royalties ($0.003/stream) go to the songwriter/publisher; however, some money may be made from music downloads, especially on iTunes … so, please consider downloading the song for $0.99, encourage your friends to do the same 🙏 Studio Makalapa will make $0.57 from each download and will donate ALL proceeds to the Navy & Marine Corps Relief Society 🫡 Happy 4th of July!
