Vintage buttons....I have always loved them. My heart skips a beat when I see a jar full of them. I have to resist purchasing every jar I see filled with these little precious jewels. But I haven't really used any of the ones I own. They just rest in jars. So finally I used some to make a beautiful Christmas tree. This project was easy and fun. I hope you enjoy the video.

This is just so weird! What has happened to the fabric department in Walmart?????? I am so sad. With all the brick and mortar fabric stores closing and evolving, the next generation won't get to experience the true joy of fabric shopping. Sitting on a stool and browsing through the giant pattern books, trying to remember the pattern number when you were pulling it from the giant metal drawers. Drawers so heavy it might take a good two handed grip to open. The brilliant colors and textures of row after row of fabric neatly displayed on bolts. Hearing the fabric bolt thumping on the cutting table each time a yard was unfolded. Taking your neatly folded fabric over to the spinners and racks filled with glorious buttons and zippers to select the perfect ones. I remember the sounds, the smells of new fabric and all the colors and textures. Endless possibilities. What a loss.
