The story that appeared on Page 1 of the Thursday, August 28 edition of the Frio-Nueces Current should have read that the Frio County judge, county clerk, 911 emergency management coordinator, county attorney, county treasurer, and county tax assessor collector do not reflect a raise in the proposed budget.

Frio County Attorney Joseph Sindon’s salary of $90,000 will remain the same as the last fiscal year. However, Sindon’s supplement, provided by the state of Texas, will increase by $9,000.

The county judge earns $73,000 annually and will receive an increase in salary of $8,000; her supplement, provided by the state of Texas, will increase from $24,000 to $31,500.

Frio County Sheriff Peter Salinas will receive a $6,000 increase, not $10,000 that was noted in the story. Salinas will receive a supplement of $12,000 under SB 22.

911 emergency coordinator, county treasurer, tax collector-assessor, and county clerk are not slated to receive a $5,000 pay increase as previously stated.

The story inaccurately reflected pay raises to elected officials. The newspaper regrets the error.
