Here is another trip down memory lane! 💜💛

Today’s look back features the Pecos Eagle Color Guard, a group of young ladies who proudly represented Pecos High School.

🗞️ Come behind the scenes with us on a Wednesday at the Pecos Enterprise!

Most people see the finished product when the paper comes out on Thursday — but Wednesday is when things really get moving around here.

Final edits. Page layout. Inserts stacked and ready. Pages sent to Monahans for printing. Then the papers come back and it’s all hands on deck — unloading, inserting, labeling, rolling and getting everything ready for delivery.

It may not always be pretty, and it definitely gets a little chaotic 😂, but this is what it takes every week to get the Enterprise from our desks to your hands.

WAY BACK WHEN: A LOOK AT OLD PECOS

Take a trip down memory lane with the Pecos Enterprise as we look back at a Pecos many longtime residents will remember.

These photographs capture pieces of everyday life from years gone by — local businesses, construction projects, familiar streets and even the places where Pecos kids and teenagers spent their quarters at the arcade.

From the old Security State Bank and Luz Ortiz Insurance Agency, to construction taking place around town, a drive-up 24-hour teller, pool tables and rows of arcade games, these pictures offer a glimpse of a community that has changed considerably through the years.

Some of these buildings are gone. Others may still be standing but look completely different today. And while businesses have come and gone, the memories connected to these places remain part of Pecos history.
