This week we’re taking a stroll through the halls of Pecos High School’s Class of 1965!

From the stylish hairdos and letterman jackets to the drum majors, tennis teams, twirlers, and senior superlatives, these yearbook pages capture a special moment in Pecos history. The Class of ’65 described themselves as a group that climbed the ladder of success together, earning honors, staging plays, leading the school, and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Sweet treats for a sweet cause! 🧁✨

The Little Miss Cantaloupe Bake Sale Fundraiser is happening Friday, June 5, starting at 9:00 a.m. until sold out at West Texas National Bank and WestTex Community Credit Union.

All proceeds will go directly toward supporting our Little Miss Cantaloupe contestants. Stop by, grab a treat, and help show some love to this year’s girls! 💛

The Pecos Bills are battling the Santa Fe Fuego tonight but trail 13-6 in the 5th inning.

A Texas horned lizard, commonly known as a “horny toad,” was spotted blending into the rocky landscape. These unique reptiles are native to the Permian Basin and are famous for their horned appearance and appetite for harvester ants. Though they may look fierce, they are harmless and play an important role in the desert ecosystem.

The Pecos Bills remain in first place in the Mountain South Division following a strong start to the 2026 season.
The team recently underwent a managerial change, but the focus remains on the players and their success on the field. The Bills have already recorded several key victories, including a walk-off win over the Tucson Saguaros powered by Juan "Nito" Avila's two-run home run.

⚠️ REGARDING BALMORHEA STATE PARK ALERT ⚠️

Officials at Balmorhea State Park announced the park is temporarily closed due to drinking and septic water supply issues following recent storms in the area.
According to Tara Fattouh, Assistant Park Superintendent, the issue is NOT related to the spring flow at San Solomon Springs and the aquatic ecosystem remains unaffected.
