We are once again negotiating a contract with the company. Workers at the Pekin Daily Times have not had raises in more than 10 years, the staff has been slashed to the point that we do not have a sports department and every worker here is stressed under the load GateHouse has created. Two years ago we were told at the bargaining table that if we don't like our pay find another job. The positions that have opened up have stayed open for extended periods of time because no one wants to work for a paupers wage. We hope that followers will fight with us to get a fair contract!
