Building an online business includes work we enjoy—and work we may be tempted to put off.

I enjoy writing posts and learning how to use software to create videos and ads. Following up with people who have expressed interest does not come as naturally to me, but it is an important part of building a business.

So, I am working on making it a regular part of my week.

What task have you been putting off because it is not your favorite?

Moving forward may begin with giving that task some attention.

Why is learning something new worth the effort?

Do you remember the last time you learned something new?

Two recent instances come to mind for me.

Just the other day, I learned how to create a video with sound and text to help get my message across. I felt so good when I finished it—and I still do. It is a skill I can use to broaden the reach of Memory Care with Carol.

A few weeks ago, I used AI to create a flour-free Alfredo sauce recipe with an Italian cheese blend. It tasted wonderful! I have made it again, and there will be no more jarred Alfredo sauce in this house.

By staying open to learning, I gained a new business skill and a recipe my family enjoys.

What have you been thinking about learning—a language for your next vacation, how to make ice cream for your grandchildren, or a way to bring in additional income at this stage of life?
