Rick Parker was a recent guest on Comic Culture. Terence had the opportunity to read Rick's graphic memoir and offered this review:

Rick Parker’s graphic memoir Drafted is a gem. It’s a touching, funny, and uncomfortable look at growing up while serving in this man’s army.
Parker’s loose, cartoony art belies the complexity of emotions on each page. He reflects back on his life some 60 years ago with an unflinching eye, not afraid to reveal embarrassing moments and the lessons they taught him. Drafted is the story of a kid who gets drafted during the Vietnam-era, falls up, and finally realizes what he wants out of life. Parker’s writing is nearly perfect, with each chapter bringing young Rick closer to figuring things out and author Rick putting things into perspective.
Rick Parker has achieved a lot during his long career in comics. Drafted is simply his best work. I’m hoping for a sequel.

Rick Parker discusses his 50-year career in comics.

Comic Culture is educational television in more ways than one. Sure, viewers learn about their favorite comic creators, but the show is crewed by students at UNC Pembroke studying Mass Communication. At , Broadcasting majors Itĩan and Issac made their way to Charlotte to help record interviews and segments for Season 9 of Comic Culture! They worked hard and take great pride repping their university, their major, and their favorite TV show!

Terence thanks them for their dedication, and thinks you should too!

It took a week to recover from an amazing and Terence is ready to share some photos from the best comic book convention in the world!

Monica Gallagher is a favorite of Terence, especially since she named an unseen (and only mentioned one time) Assassin Roommate character after him. At least he thinks so...Monica's last commission of the convention was for Terence of Terence, the token male Erinye.

Thanks to Karla, Sheldon, Seth, and everyone for another fantastic convention!
