Let’s Dance! Keep those donations coming. Please
And Thank You!

Don’t Stop The Dance because we can dance if we want to! A joyous thank you and goosebumps all around for Tom Ryan and Sean Buchanan tag-teaming it tonight to get us beyond $33k raised! It really does take two (RIP Rob Base).

Fun fact: Byron Buxton of the Minnesota Twins (and former Rochester Red Wing!) was the last MLB player to hit for the cycle in July 2025. And now WBER has done it in May 2026. You all helped us round the bases and knock it out of the park! Thank you, listeners, for your persistence and perseverance all day to not only hit for the cycle of mini goals but to blast them to smithereens to get us to another major Piebald marker, grab hold of 38% of the spring goal, and speed way past 350 total donations. It truly was a team effort today and we’re so grateful!

Tomorrow starts another Fundraiser Friday, so let’s keep that momentum going. If you’re like all of us in the WBER family and life without BER is like life without breathing, and you’d like to help raise WBER’s on base percentage with a donation big or small to the Spring Fundraiser, go to wber.org to find out how you can lend a hand. We’d love to play a song request for you as a thank you, but you can also leave it up to the DJs if you like surprises.

Tune in to 90.5 FM to hear more music you love from the people who love to play it for you.

🚨 Fundraiser Mini Goal Special Report 🚨

Good news, everybody! We’ve hit Piebald milestone #29 this weekend and are over 33% of the way towards our spring goal! We recommend celebrating by listening to Gin Blossoms’ “29” or The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Thirty-Three”. Or keep it traditional with Piebald’s “American Hearts” because hey, you’re part of it!

Thank you for following and participating in the WBER Spring Fundraiser. If you’d like to donate any number of ways check out wber.org.

The Specials have announced the band’s next — and final — music release. Recorded during their emotional 2019 run of shows at Coventry Cathedral, 'The Specials: Live From The Cathedral' will arrive on July 10 via Island Records.

The band described the four-night residency as “more than just concerts,” calling them some of the most memorable and emotional performances they ever played. The recordings also serve as a tribute to late frontman Terry Hall:

“They were some of the most memorable and emotional shows we have ever played, and these recordings serve as a fitting tribute to, and celebration of, our wonderful and brilliant friend Terry.”

The release will be available in multiple physical formats, including an exclusive 3LP edition featuring fan-submitted photos from the shows, as well as a 6CD box set containing full recordings from three of the four nights at the Cathedral.

To mark the announcement, “Gangsters: Live From the Cathedral” is now streaming, while the album is officially available for pre-order.
