Have you noticed something in your neighborhood? Maybe you’ve seen a few pumpkins……. A 12-foot tall skeleton in someone’s yard…… and fall and Halloween decorations are already at Michael's at Pottery Barn. It’s because people are starting to celebrate fall and Halloween sooner than EVER! According to Axios News, the "Halloween season" has gotten longer. Before the pandemic, the enthusiasm for candy and giant skeletons lasted for about six weeks, starting mid-September and ending on Halloween, October 31st……🎃
Flash forward to today, and fall and Halloween are starting 10 to 12 weeks sooner! The National Confectioners Association says people are buying bags of Halloween candy to eat now! 🍬
So why are people eager to start hanging their fall decorations when it’s still 100º degrees outside? Simple: It’s fun. It makes people happy. And we humans love to celebrate. 🍂
