L**e your plywood drawers in your or with wax or bar soap.

Some people have trouble with the drawer action on long drawers with heavy tools. Rubbing wax/soap on contact points will smooth things out.

tip:

If you're building a tool trailer, consider ordering it with barn doors if you work in dense urban or suburban areas.

You don't always have the space (6-8') to lower your ramp in tight parking situations.

But you can usually open barn doors, secure them to the trailer sides, and back into a parking place.

Tethered carabiners have lots of uses, especially if you work on a roof:

- Haul and kits up to a roof.
- Hang gear and bags off your shelves.
- Use them to temporarily contain pipe/conduit/tube.

They're cheap ($8-10) and sold by Husky as "Heavy Duty Hanging Quick-Release Hooks with Carabiner Strap".

One way to organize your for quick grabbing is with "battery holders".

These plastic holders mount to the underside of a shelf and let you slide on a battery-less tool like a drill, driver, multitool, router, or whatever you want.

If you like this method, get the a holder style that uses at least 4 screws, since 2 or 3-screw versions can sag.
