Each year, American flags are placed throughout Pennsauken’s 9/11 Memorial, located at the corner of Merchantville Ave. and Rt. 130, across the street from the Township’s Municipal Building and the Pennsauken Free Public Library. This year’s ceremony will once again be earlier in the evening, so that more members of the community can participate.

Longtime Pennsauken resident Nydia Torres has spent a lifetime helping others. She has plans for the future. To volunteer at nursing homes. To work outside in her extensive gardens. To look after her six amazing grandchildren.

None of that will be possible unless she receives a lifesaving gift of a kidney.

"The Pennsauken Township Committee wishes all of our local students much success as they begin this exciting new school year. A new academic year is always filled with possibilities—new subjects to study, new friends to meet, and new goals to achieve. Each September, our community comes alive with the energy of students returning to classrooms, and we are reminded of the strength of our 'Pennsauken Pride.'"
