What is the story behind the name of Camdenscomics.com? Camden’s Comics was founded in 2013 by Hong Nguyen and Ryan M. It was originally conceived as a website that released short stories and comics. Camden, NJ was chosen because both founders were influenced by the city and wanted to help shed a positive light on it. In 2015, Ryan took over Camden’s Comics with Hong’s blessing. Since that time, Ryan has been featured in all of the libraries within the Camden County. He’s also taught comics to 2nd, 5th ,6th graders in a number of Camden schools.

I’m supposed to be taking a break for Christmas… BUT

I have an idea for the Bolt that I’m working through. It started as a sketch of Bolt sorta surrounded by images of his Rogues’ Gallery but I’ve changed the perspective on those images to make it appear as if he’s flying through them. I’ve also added some of his civilian friends to justify more boxes around him.

It tasked me for awhile but I’ve rounded the corner and now I’m enjoying it. I love being in the zone and working through a drawing. As Bowie said, the best artists don’t know what they’re making until they’re done.

And now that Skull Boy #1 is released to the world… it’s time to get back to The Bolt!

Chimera is the ultimate villain of the Boltverse and the focus of issue 12. I’m fascinated with cults and why people would ever willingly subject themselves to it. Chimera is a master manipulator who dwells in the shadows and has others fight for him. He’s a cult leader who approaches you at your most vulnerable and offers you a chance at real power. The power comes from a serum, of which he alone controls the production and distribution. As long as you remain loyal to his cause, you can continue to have power. From the dregs of society, Chimera has fashioned an army, willing to help him take control of Camden!

Wake up, squad. I’ve made another comic.
I’m elated to finally bring you Skull Boy in his debut issue! It’s silly, it’s chaotic, it’s laugh-out-loud funny. My wife and kids absolutely love him and they are the driving force behind me being able to write/pencil/ink/color Skull Boy for all of us. This is the time to pick up the first printing run of Skull Boy (Y’know in case you wanted to get in on the ground floor cuz this rocket only goes up!)

Some people talk about getting in touch with their inner child but I’ve been here the whole time.

There’s a lot of Spider-man to talk about but I’ll be dealing with my favorite era of Spidey: the 90s. I will not be ranting about One More Day or how everything has gone downhill since we lost MJ. I just wish the writers loved Spidey as much as you and I.
