Flight‑Hand Friday with Kevin "Hoser" Miller!

Author, Naval Aviator, and Pensacola local—Kevin Miller Author knows a thing or two about flighthands and flying fast.

A retired Navy Captain, Kevin flew the A-7E Corsair II and F/A-18 Hornet, logging over 3,600 flight hours and more than 1,000 carrier landings during his 24-year career. He commanded a strike-fighter squadron and served at the Pentagon before turning his attention to writing.

He’s the author of the Raven One series and the award-winning historical novel The Silver Waterfall, a powerful retelling of the Battle of Midway.

We’re proud to highlight a Hellcat regular and longtime friend—always great to see Kevin at the hangar.

Flight Hand Friday!

We’re switching it up this week for Flight Hand Friday—because sometimes the best moment isn’t a handshake, it’s a wave from the cockpit.

Here’s a shot of Blue Angel #5, Lead Solo Thomas “Franz” Zimmerman, giving the crowd a quick salute from the jet during practice. A small gesture from the flightline, but one that says it all.

Captured during a recent practice in Pensacola—the jet, the crowd, and one of the best doing what he does best.

This July Pensacola Beach, FL will be visited by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels for the annual Red, White, and Blues week air show! ✈ Our friends at Hellcat Productions, LLC livestreamed the show last year in custom Hawaiian shirts, and a new edition of the shirt is on the way for this year's show. It sounds amazing to see the Blue Angels fly through the blue skies over Pensacola Beach!🌴
