Q: What costume contest categories are there?
We have 4 categories to choose from:
Individual
Family
Float
Official Mardi Gras Krewe Pensacola Mardi Gras
You may enter whichever category fits your group best!
Q: What should I know about the Paw-di Gras Parade?
🚫 No motorized floats
✅ Get creative! Decorate wagons, strollers, leashes, yourselves, and of course… your dog
🎉 No throwing beads or items from the parade, but you can hand out throws to spectators along the route
📍 Parade lineup begins at 2:00 PM
🙏 Followed by the Blessing of the Pets
🐕 Parade is approximately 1.4 miles through downtown Pensacola
✨ Important reminder: The parade is just one small portion of the entire Paw-di Gras experience — the event itself is packed with vendors, music, food, contests, activations, and community fun all day long.

Is the event free to attend?
Yes! Paw-di Gras is free and open to the public. Parade and contest registrations are donations benefiting local animals.
Do dogs need to be registered to attend?
No — only dogs participating in the parade or costume contests need to register. All well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.
Is the event family-friendly?
Absolutely. Kids, strollers, and four-legged family members are all welcome.
What should I bring?
Water for your pup, comfy shoes, your camera, and your best 80’s vibes.
