Michael Andrew Dewoody, 42, was booked into Jefferson County Jail on June 17th and given a bond total of $2.62 million.

In March we reported that Dewoody, a school marching band volunteer (school not identified), was arrested and charged in Blount County:
❌ facilitating travel for child X
❌traveling to meet a child
❌ electronic soli_citation of a child
❌ transmitting ob_scene material to a child
❌ 2nd-degree sexual abuse
The Blount County charges were dismissed for procedural reasons, but will be presented to a grand jury for indictment consideration.

On June 17th Dewoody was booked into Jeff Co on charges of:
❌ 1st-degree 4APE

OMG🤬 16 CHILDREN held in at 12’x12’ room, living in deplorable conditions, discovered yesterday when investigators were at the home on unrelated matters. Most all children could not read or write, some could not speak and others too weak to walk, and all malnourished. One was airlifted to area hospital where the child was intubated and in critical condition
