🚢 Day 1 Recap – Navigator of the Seas!
Embarkation day is officially in the books, and what a great start to the cruise!
From the moment I stepped out of the car, dropped off my luggage, cleared security, and boarded the ship, it took less than 20 minutes. That's about as smooth as it gets!
My first stop? The muster station. Luckily, it was right outside where I boarded, making it quick and easy to check off the list before the fun began.
Then it was off to Playmakers. If you've cruised Royal Caribbean before, you know some ships have this sports bar, and Navigator is one of them. The best surprise was immediately seeing crew members I've sailed with before. It was great catching up, reconnecting, and thanking them for the outstanding service they provide cruise after cruise.
Staterooms opened right at 1:00 PM, and I was able to get in and start unpacking. Of course, there was the traditional "find your suitcase in the hallway" game, but thankfully it showed up quickly, and I was completely unpacked in no time.
The sail away party did not disappoint! 🎶 We enjoyed music from the steel drum band, and the sail away playlist featured several songs from artists we regularly listen to. Nothing says vacation quite like hearing great music while watching the shoreline fade into the distance.
And yes... 🍦 I had my first ice cream of the cruise!
Dinner was back at Playmakers, followed by a little time in the casino. I actually broke one of my personal cruise rules and played on night one. Let's just say it reminded me exactly why I normally don't do that! 😂
To finish off the evening, I headed to the comedy show. We've seen this comedian before and absolutely love his shows, so it was a great way to end the day.
No matter how excited I am, I always make Night 1 an early night. Getting a good night's sleep helps set the tone for the rest of the cruise.
Day 1 was a success, and now it's time to see what Day 2 has in store!
