🚢 Day 2 Recap – Ensenada, Mexico 🇲🇽

What a fantastic day in Ensenada!

The weather was absolutely stunning and the temperature couldn't have been more perfect for an open-air bus tour of the city. It was a great way to see Ensenada from a different perspective, and our narrator did an excellent job sharing the history, culture, and interesting facts about the area.

After the tour, I had some time to explore downtown on foot. One of the nice things about Ensenada is how close everything is to the cruise port. We were only about two blocks from the ship, making it easy to shop, stroll around, and take in the sights.

A local recommendation led me to Bullo's, a terrific little taqueria in downtown Ensenada. I enjoyed an asada taco along with a couple of margaritas, and it was a great way to experience some local flavor while in port.

Once back on board, I stopped by my stateroom and was greeted by one of the cutest towel animals I've ever seen! It may have been the smallest towel animal I've received on a cruise, but it definitely made me smile. 🐘

A big thank you to everyone who joined our TikTok Live for the Ensenada Pier Runner Watch! Fortunately—or unfortunately, depending on how much excitement you were hoping for—it was pretty uneventful. No dramatic sprints to the ship, and we departed right on time!

Dinner was at the Windjammer buffet before heading over to Playmakers for a drink to take to the evening show.

The night's entertainment featured the Las Vegas Tenors, and they were absolutely incredible. We've seen them before and always enjoy their performances. If you ever have the chance to see them on a cruise, don't miss it!

I wrapped up the evening with a stop at the casino. While the results weren't exactly what I hoped for, I did earn enough points to keep those future cruise offers coming. That's a win in my book! 🎰

A quick stop at the Schooner Bar, and then it was back to the room to call it a night.

All in all, I'd call Day 2 a complete success! On to the next adventure tomorrow.

🚢 Cruise Tip of the Day 🧠🌊

Don’t skip trivia on a sea day!

Cruise ship trivia is one of the easiest and most fun ways to meet people, laugh with fellow cruisers, and take a relaxing break from the pool deck. Whether you know every answer or none at all, the energy is always fun — and sometimes you may even win a prize! 🎉

Some of our favorite sea day memories have come from random trivia teams and unexpected conversations.

What’s your favorite type of cruise trivia? Music? TV? General knowledge? Decades? 👇

Went on an Ensenada tour a top of an open bus and then stopped by a local taco place. One asada taco, one classic margarita and one Cadillac margarita. Now this is a Saturday!

🚢 Day 1 Recap – Navigator of the Seas!

Embarkation day is officially in the books, and what a great start to the cruise!

From the moment I stepped out of the car, dropped off my luggage, cleared security, and boarded the ship, it took less than 20 minutes. That's about as smooth as it gets!

My first stop? The muster station. Luckily, it was right outside where I boarded, making it quick and easy to check off the list before the fun began.

Then it was off to Playmakers. If you've cruised Royal Caribbean before, you know some ships have this sports bar, and Navigator is one of them. The best surprise was immediately seeing crew members I've sailed with before. It was great catching up, reconnecting, and thanking them for the outstanding service they provide cruise after cruise.

Staterooms opened right at 1:00 PM, and I was able to get in and start unpacking. Of course, there was the traditional "find your suitcase in the hallway" game, but thankfully it showed up quickly, and I was completely unpacked in no time.

The sail away party did not disappoint! 🎶 We enjoyed music from the steel drum band, and the sail away playlist featured several songs from artists we regularly listen to. Nothing says vacation quite like hearing great music while watching the shoreline fade into the distance.

And yes... 🍦 I had my first ice cream of the cruise!

Dinner was back at Playmakers, followed by a little time in the casino. I actually broke one of my personal cruise rules and played on night one. Let's just say it reminded me exactly why I normally don't do that! 😂

To finish off the evening, I headed to the comedy show. We've seen this comedian before and absolutely love his shows, so it was a great way to end the day.

No matter how excited I am, I always make Night 1 an early night. Getting a good night's sleep helps set the tone for the rest of the cruise.

Day 1 was a success, and now it's time to see what Day 2 has in store!

Have you ever had an embarkation day go this smoothly? Let me know in the comments! 👇

🚢 Cruise Tip of the Day 🌎

Don’t just visit a cruise port — experience it.

Take time to try a local food, listen to live music, visit a neighborhood market, or learn a few words in the local language. Even a few hours in port can turn into a memorable cultural experience.

Some of our favorite cruise memories aren’t from the ship… they’re from discovering the unique traditions, flavors, and people in each destination. ❤️

What’s the most memorable cultural experience you’ve had while cruising?
