THANK YOU for helping me to feel good about myself again!

2 months ago I got “talked in” to joining a 5am workout group with some of my favorite chamber ladies. I’ll admit…I didn’t like yelling at us those first 2 weeks and telling us ‘Get what you came for and to get lower on my squats!’ However, 2 months later I feel amazing! My clothes fit better. I have more energy. I’m more confident. I still have a ways to go BUT today I feel amazing! Thanks for the tough love and workouts!

It’s a beautiful day for the 33rd annual Dogwood Festival! The sun is out, blue skies, and not a cloud in sight! It’s been wonderful to have the Perry and surrounding communities come out and support the festival!

It’s the week of the Dogwood Festival! I’m excited that the is able to bring this event to Historic Downtown Perry for the 33rd year! It’s going to be a busy week so today I’m taking it slow. I’m enjoying my coffee and catching up on my TV shows.

I hope to see y’all next weekend at the Dogwood Festival in Downtown Perry! Stop by the information booth and say HI!

If I had to choose one word to describe 2021 it would be WHIRLWIND!

Sooooo much has happened over the last year. On December 31, 2020, we were getting back in to a routine after having dealt with COVID related work requirements. We were hopeful for normalcy. All was ok. I was content in my job…not necessarily happy…but content.

In March, my position was dissolved after a “restructure.” I was shocked and devastated. I had worked hard and for what? Lucky for me, I had the best husband, family and friends who were so supportive.

I started job hunting…NOTHING! I was feeling deflated.

Then one day Josh came home and says he “got a call” (coaches wives know what that means 😉). We had an opportunity to move back to Middle Georgia.

We prayed about it.
We weighed the pros and cons.
We decided to GO FOR IT!
We put our house on the market.
We sold the house within 2 months.
We got a POD, packed up, and moved.
We stayed in two Air BnB’s.
We stayed with friends.
We started new jobs.
We bought a house in Houston County and moved…AGAIN!
I got a job offer I couldn’t refuse and started ANOTHER job. 🤣

We are happier now than we have been in a loooooong time! God had a plan for us on December 31, 2020….we just didn’t know it. He always has a plan!

2021 was a trying year however we made it through and we are stronger than ever! I’m sooooo excited to be where I am today and thank the good lord above for putting this plan in action for me and my family.

My quote for 2022: “What the new year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the new year. -Vern McClellan” I’m bringing happiness in to the new year!
