Please join us in congratulating our Young Careerist for the month of May, Mireya Cruz!

Mireya Cruz is an Assistant Vice President & Branch Manager at Panhandle First Bank in Perryton.

She would advise others to enter her profession.
“I would absolutely encourage others to consider a career in Banking and Finance especially if they are interested in a field that provides the opportunity to make an impact on their community and people's lives- whether helping someone buy their first car, buy a home, or even supporting a business's growth. I look forward to the unpredictability of this field and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to learn something new every day.”

Her suggestions to older careerists is to “embrace the opportunity to mentor to younger professionals. So much wisdom comes from experience, and sharing their knowledge can have an enormous impact in the workplace and the workforce.”

Panhandle Professional Women had a very informative program by Randi Cunningham about her new business Through the Storm Counseling, PLLC

Randi shared what motivated her to offer this for our community and little bit about the process to getting where she is today. She has accomplished so much but still has more to go and has big ideas for the future.

Help us congratulate our Young Careerist of the month Amie Marrufo!

Amie is employed at Ochiltree General Hospital and Perryton Christian Academy.

Amie encourages others to consider her profession because community education is similar to marketing and although it can be challenging it can be rewarding.

Amie believes the key to success for Young Careerists is a strong work ethic and showing up ready to work.

Amies advice for older careerists is to step outside of your comfort zone, you can learn anything so embrace change.

Amie sees what could be the biggest stumbling block for young careerists is believing there is a "perfect" job or life. Everything comes with some challenges, but how you react and learn is what really matters.
