Let Princeton be your destination of choice to help find those perfect Christmas gifts this holiday season!

Our fabulous retailers will be open late until 7:00 pm or later on Friday evening, 4:00 pm or later on Saturday, and open Sunday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Please check store’s pages for their specific hours of operation during the holiday season as many will have extended hours and days leading up to Christmas!

Join us at the Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce located at the Prouty-Zearing Community Building from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday for visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, refreshments compliments of New Hope Church, make reindeer food with the Bureau County Farm Bureau, pick up a Commemorative Princeton Christmas Mug from Midland States Bank, and so much more!

Also on Saturday, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, we will have horse-drawn carriage rides compliments of Heartland Bank and Trust Company on North and South Main Street, a coloring contest with Landmark Realty of Illinois LLC, and popcorn compliments of the Princeton Lions Club with a donation to our Bureau County Food Pantry!!!

Saturday continues with the ever-so popular Christkindlmarkt at Open Prairie United Church of Christ from 9:30 am - 2:00 pm at 25 East Marion Street.

The Prairie Arts Council will be hosting Handmade for the Holidays, an Artisan Market, Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm!

The Bureau County Historical Society and History Center will host their Holiday Open House on Saturday at the Clark-Norris Museum from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm!

And if all of these fabulous activities were not enough, there will also be carolers filling the air with holiday cheer, trolley rides on our historic Main Street, and our annual elf hunt with a chance to win $100.00 in Chamber Gift Cards!
