~Severe Weather Sunday-Sunday Night~

Scattered severe thunderstorms is expected this evening and into the overnight hours for portions of MN, SD, NE, IA, MO, and KS. There is a couple missing ingredients that will prevent this from becoming an outbreak. However, any discrete supercells that can be maintained this evening will pose a risk for large hail and damaging wind gusts. Supercells will be LP (low precipitation), with smaller cores. So, these storms likely won't be long-lived. Nonetheless, a few hour window of severe weather is expected this evening, including the Sioux Falls and Omaha areas.

Our first chance of widespread accumulating snow is possible this T-giving weekend, which could result in holiday travel impacts. However, there is still some uncertainty on the timing, strength, and how much snow will fall. Monitor the forecast through the week, particularly if you have holiday travel plans.
