Weather monitoring provides the necessary data for utilities when making decisions on PSPS events. Utilities may temporarily turn off power to specific areas to reduce the risk of fires caused by electric infrastructure. This action is called a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) or “de-energization.”

X2nSat partners with utilities and weather monitoring companies to provide internet over satellite to their weather stations, ensuring they can always capture the necessary data used in these decisions.
