Tweak gulped down a breath, shoulders bending under the weight of putting it all together.
“They m-m-mean…” She had to lean in and breathe in the scent of her daughter before she could whisper the words.
“They mean you’re the s-s-sleepw-w…w…”
She couldn’t get the word out.
“Sleepwalker,” Inyoni whimpered. “They mean I’m the Sleepwalker. Oh…f**k.”

“There’s a prayer I know. It’s right for a night like this. Will you pray with me?”
Teddy blinked, looking up. “Wait…you pray? I thought all you Dusters were…” He tailed off.
“Godless?” Kevin suggested. “Atheist?” He shook his head. “There are a lot more kinds of Dusters than an EagleCorp man might realize. And I suppose there are a lot more kinds of people doing Peacekeeping work than a Duster like me might be expected to assume. Am I right?”
After a moment, Teddy nodded.
“I’m a Jesuit,” Kevin explained. “That’s a kind of Christian. And I feel like this is a night to say a prayer. So, will you pray with me tonight?”
Teddy held his eyes for a moment, and there was a new spark there.
“Yeah. If you know the prayer…yeah.”

Amphibian Press welcomes you to stand up with us as we support Club Q through storytelling. On November 19, 2022, an LGBT community hub and nightclub called Club Q in Colorado Springs was attacked. Five beautiful, vibrant people were lost. Someone silenced the music everyone in the club had come to celebrate with gunfire

We came together with a dozen authors from around the world to share a diverse array of characters and worlds: a found-family in the post-apocalypse; excited teen couples attending a hopepunk concert; the otherworldly experience of base-heavy q***r club; a tender proposal almost-spoiled by hijinks; and a sci-fi medic trying to remember how to trust after a decade on the run. These are stories of q***r joy, filled with gender and culture-diverse characters, found family, community solidarity, love, comfort and hope.
