Canvas Skies, Wings of Freedom is a hybrid manga/comic that is a historical anachronism following the US Civil War. The story follows the crew of the Icarus, the first large airship created during the civil war, in its post war adventures as a merchant cargo ship. With America achieving manifest destiny, follow the crew as they achieve a destiny unique to themselves, but also strive for their own piece of the American Dream. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental
