Broken clutch fork leads to new clutch and a flywheel resurfacing. Nickle and diming me now, but might as well do it while its out. This drive train has some good parts in it so I'm hoping theres some goodies in the engine.

Everything came together just right, car fired up first try on Friday. Thrashed all day today to get the steering done and nuts and bolts checked. Its only right to celebrate with some driveway launches. The rest of the interior and exterior will go on soon and itll be in the streets! Finally got the car out for the first time this year, no wheelie bars this time. Tested to the 8th and let out early. I'm impressed everytime with these Jon Kaase Racing Engines SR71 heads, I know we haven't seen the full potential of these heads yet but the time will come. Moved the Strange Engineering stiletto rack further back in the car over the winter. Got some bugs to work out but itll be back out soon.

Rebuilding a car from nothing more than a shell gets over whelming at times, glad to be mostly done with the wiring and drivetrain. Going to throw a battery in it and test the wiring soon. Then it's time to build some fuel lines and fire it up. Late Model Restoration is the best company ever started, lots more coming from them for this one. This car is keeping us on our toes, oil filter relocation block came loose and blew the o-ring out. Put 3 quarts on the track in that short time. Made some suspension changes and it left straight, until oil got under the tires and made it a wild ride. Glad everybody at Pueblo Motorsports Park is understanding. Stuff happens, we'll be checking that housing more often after that! The car is liking the new Coan converter Jon Kaase Racing Engines Strange Engineering

Things got a little heated on this pass, converter was super hot, melted the rubber and pushed the seal out of the front pump. Everything else in the trans, besides a bushing or two was in good shape. Always a hold your breath moment when you see a smoke show at half track, it put alot of fluid down and luckily he was able to keep it on the track despite the complete smoke screen inside the car. Pulled the parachute and got it stopped a bit after the finish line.
