TODAY’S devotion: Live

Living things grow. Trees 🌲 grow. Plants 🪴 grow. Animals 🐂 grow. Insects 🐞 grow. Most fish 🐠 never stop growing. People 🧑‍🧑‍🧒 grow. If YOU look all around, life springs up here and there. Bushes 🌳, vines, plants and trees produce berries 🫐 and fruit 🍍 of all kinds. Nature speaks of the productivity of life. In the same way, every time YOU look at YOURSELF in the mirror 🪞 , remember this: God designed you to be productive. So, what are YOU producing❓

The Lord desires that YOU live productively by doing good to those in need. Who are YOU helping? Think about that for a moment. Maybe, instantly, YOU have your answer. Or, perhaps, a little time has passed, and no one comes to your mind. However, as long as YOU have breath in your body, YOU have another chance to give, help and share. YOU have an opportunity to do good as long as YOU are alive. If YOU are living, there is still hope. Opportunity still thrives. So, let nothing stop YOU. Live as God created YOU.

📆 WEDNESDAY, Oct 22nd

8:45 am - 11:30 am: All shifts

8:45 am - 9:30 am: 1st shift

9:30 am - 10:30 am: 2nd shift

10:30 am - 11:30 am: 3rd shift

⭐️ 🥗🍝 Lunch will be served for all volunteers at 11:30am

The purpose of THINC Like an Adult is to empower students in making sound financial and real-world decisions. This interactive opportunity provides students with a monthly income, a family profile, a credit score, and monthly household expenses.

⭐️ Volunteers NEEDED ⭐️ to provide real-world simulations by "manning" booths in housing (rent an apartment vs. buy a house), transportation (used car vs. new car vs Uber vs a bike), utilities, groceries, insurance (life, car, homeowners, and renters), childcare, and much more!

There is even an Unexpected Life Events booth where ⭐️ Volunteers are NEEDED ⭐️ to facilitate events such as having to buy four new tires, repair a leaky faucet, sickness, a new baby, etc.)

Columbus is inspired by THINC. College & Career Academy in LaGrange, Ga.

👟 Get new pair of shoes after getting feet 🦶 tested at Big Dog Fleet Feet.
