We need more Dad's in this world. Real Dad's. I created this page because I grew up without a father to teach me how to be a man. I had no male role models to look up to and learn from.

I am not alone. There are too many children growing up without fathers, and fathers who (because they grew up without a father or a real male role model) do not know how to be a real man.

I have very few memories of my Dad that have a lasting effect. The truth is I can best describe my relationship with him as the guy living with my mom and me. Sorry Pop. Just facts. I have a better relationship with him now that he has passed away than I ever did when he was alive. He listens to me now and I think he is proud of the man I became and the direction I am going in.

Or I'm just talking to myself a lot lately. 🤔

Many people claim to love God and to love another person. A person who has not developed mature love and carries it within their own heart, doesn't have the ability to love the way God intended us to love him and to love one another.

The bible describes the kind of love God has for us. The kind of love he wants us to have for one another.

1 Corinthians 13:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. Forgiving someone who has hurt you deeply is one of the most difficult things to do. When the people we love hurt us it is especially painful and can leave permanent emotional wounds. We can become hard hearted, and never risk being vulnerable again.

The only way you will be able to forgive someone you love when they hurt is to do it for the sake of the God who has forgiven you again and again. To have the motivation to forgive others of much you will have to do it out of your gratitude for the One who has forgiven you much more.

If you want to live a meaningful life do not judge others. Do not decide who deserves something and who doesn't. Instead, lift up those who have fallen, restore the broken and heal the hurting. Live your life in the service of others and you will have lived a meaningful life.
