This is ✨36✨
After doing the math to see how old I am this year, I realized that I am officially closer to 40 than 30 and this is the first year on my birthday that I actually feel older 😭 and phewww thattt sent me to another planet because … HOW?!? 🚀
Time is so crazy though — but here we are, another trip around the sun & to be honest, each year keeps getting better 🙌
I am usually a sad birthday girl and cry almost every year… but this year, I am happy to report the only almost tears were tears of joy and recognition of the growth I’ve made as a person lol.
Watching Isabella grow reminds me frequently to cherish the small things and find joy in simplicity and little moments because they are truly fleeting 🥺
Hearing her for the first time string together, “Happy Birthday Mommy, I love you” is quite possibly the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard in my life 😭
I am so sentimental so my mom’s rose tradition is something I look forward to each year and like clockwork, she showed up with roses in hand. If you don’t know the significance of roses in my life, here’s a short backstory… my parents had a rose bush that never bloomed until the day I was born. Since then, my mom has given me a rose every year on my birthday. It is the reason Isabella’s middle name is Rose, too 🌹
She also insists on getting all of us kids cakes each year from a bakery, which I usually refuse to eat (she always buys me a cake for everyone else to eat haha but makes me cupcakes from a box—which are my faveeee), but she finally found bakery cake that I will eat 🙏 and the cupcakes were delishhhh, as evidenced by Bell’s face in the photos lol.
My fam/affiliates sent me to Louis Vuitton today to get a bag and some jewelry that I lovveeeee - You guys are truly an incredible bunch and I couldn’t be more thankful to work with you 💚
And thank you to everyone else who made me feel so special and loved today through your birthday wishes! I appreciate you all 🫶
I literally pinch myself daily to make sure this is real life, then I remind myself to have gratitude for all of these amazing blessings 🙏
