Our thoughts and prayers are with Galaxy, Sarah and the entire FandomCon team during this difficult time. Prayers for Kent’s family and let’s all make April’s event the best it can be in honor of Kent♥️🕊️
A Message from the FandomCon Family 💔
There are moments that stop time — moments that remind us how fragile, precious, and deeply connected we all are. Today, with hearts that are truly broken, we share the devastating news that our beloved show runner, partner, and the very backbone of FandomCon, Kent, has passed away after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
Kent wasn’t just part of our team — he was the heartbeat of this convention. His passion, creativity, and vision built the foundation of everything FandomCon is trying to become. Every laugh shared, every panel created, every dream made possible through this event carries his fingerprints. His light touched everyone who knew him, and his impact will live forever in our hearts and within the fandom community he loved so much. ❤️
In his honor, and out of respect for his legacy and our grieving team, FandomCon Silicon Valley 2025 will be rescheduled to April 10-12, 2026. We are taking this time to heal, to regroup, and to make sure that when we gather again, it’s done with the same heart, spirit, and magic that Kent always brought to our world.
💖 FandomCon for Hope 💖
We are also deeply humbled to announce that FandomCon will be partnering with a leading cancer support organization to help raise awareness, provide resources, and contribute to the fight against this heartbreaking disease that has touched so many lives — including our own.
If you or someone you love is battling cancer, or if you are coping with loss, please know that you are not alone. There is help, there is hope, and there is a community that cares.
❤️ Support and information are available at cancer.org or by calling 1-800-227-2345.
Together, we honor Kent’s legacy by standing for compassion, strength, and community — and by working toward a future where no one has to suffer from cancer again.
Your support, patience, and love mean everything to us right now. We cannot wait to welcome you all back and celebrate fandom together in Kent’s honor — stronger, united, and full of heart. 💫
We love you all.
Thank you for being part of this family. 🕊️
