Great idea of breaking your days into quarters. This allows for a reset (or 2 or 3) if the day isn’t going as planned.

Thanks for the advice! Making It Work With ADHD

How do you manage a bad moment within your day? Is this something that could help you reframe your thoughts? Please share in the comments.

When we have a bad moment we seem to write off the rest of the day. What if we saw the day in parts instead of a whole, so that if one part is not what we wanted we can start over in the next part? I really like this because we tend to be all or nothing. This still allows us to write off the part that didn’t work but gives us space to try in another.

What are your thoughts on seeing your day in quarters?

The six stages of engagement that the research team identified are:

1. Normalization & Hesitation
2. Stigmatization & Fear
3. Action & Advocacy
4. Communications & Navigation
5. Care & Validation
6. Preparation & Transition

ADHD can be chaotic, difficult, unkind and lonely. We often feel misunderstood and try to make sense of our diagnosis or to fit into a certain box. It's time to ignore the messages that distract, shame and confuse.
