Happy Sunday yall! When I heard this quote I knew I wanted to make a video because of how closely it hit to home and I’m gonna be real, I’ve been extra in my feels lately.
A little over six years ago, I started this account because I had just bought my first home and found myself constantly playing the comparison game on my personal page. It felt like everyone around me was getting married, having babies, and checking off all the milestones I thought I’d be reaching too.
So instead of scrolling, I started creating, sharing DIY projects around my new home simply because it brought me joy. And little by little, this incredible community started to grow.
Since then, my life has changed in ways I never could have imagined. This account has grown and evolved with me and has provided opportunities to see the world, introduced me to amazing people, allowed me to support causes that matter to me, and honestly changed the trajectory of my life.
But the greatest gift hasn’t been the places I’ve gone or the things I’ve experienced, it’s this community. You’ve shared your stories, celebrated my wins, sat with me through heartbreak, encouraged me as I’ve navigated life as a single, childless woman in a season that looks different than I once imagined, and cheered me on as I’ve learned to embrace solo adventures and heal in ways I did and didn’t know I needed.
This community has become so much more than followers on a screen and it reminds me that there isn’t one right way to build a beautiful life.
