In Greek mythology, the story of Uranus, Kronos, and Zeus is a story of generational trauma and curses, power struggles, paranoia, and rebellion. Uranus was castrated and overthrown by his son Kronos, aka Saturn, after his mother put a "battery" in his back to take him out. Fearing his children would do the same to him, the stone-cold psycho, Kronos, devoured his own children shortly after his children's mother, Rhea, gave birth to them Eventually, Zeus, who was protected and hidden as a baby, grew up and overthrew Kronos. Zeus then became the supreme god of the Titans.

FAIR USE: Art Credit: Saturn Devouring His Son, painting by Francisco Goya | "The work is one of the 14 so-called 'Black Paintings' that Goya painted directly on the walls of his house some time between 1820 and 1823. It was transferred to canvas after Goya's death and is now in the Museo del Prado in Madrid.... The painting is traditionally considered a depiction of the Greek myth of the Titan 'Cronus,' whom the Romans called 'Saturn,' eating one of his children out of fear of a prophecy by GaIa that one of his children would overthrow him. Like all of the 'Black Paintings,' it was not originally intended for public consumption and Goya did not provide a title or notes. Thus, its interpretation is disputed." - Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_Devouring_His_Son
