Two years ago today began the starting point for what originally was only supposed to be a mixshow...
• February 7, 2017 —
I uploaded a mix honoring the late/great James Yancey on his 43rd birthday titled “For The Love Of Jay Dee” on featuring various Dilla produced & solo career songs. This was a test run to see what podcasting was like, and it seemed to pick up a good amount of listeners before being blocked due to licensing framework. This was the first brick that built the foundation.

I decided to create a podcast where I could play all of this dope that I’d been listening to while giving the & who wasn’t on mainstream radio a chance to have a platform, and submit their & .
• January 31, 2018 —
I had just record and uploaded the first episode of , and was skeptical about if it would take off. I didn’t have a good mic, I didn’t know how to really mix my voice, and was also a bit anxious about who would be my audience. Time went on; I got more comfortable behind the mic, got more listeners, more music submissions, and a few .
Some special editions, many technical issues, making it to charts several times, and 60+ shows later, it’s still standing thanks to all of you. Major shoutout to for being a part of this history. Big thanks to all of the people who’ve sent tons of over the past 2 years, especially the frequent contributors; it’s too many of you to name here, but you’re the gas that fuels this voyage we’ve been on together. There’s plenty more to come... The next show, Episode 63 airs later tonight, followed by Episode 64 with the first interview of 2020.
