This is what happens when you can turn off your pediatric PT brain 🤭. Motor skills are more than just swings and slides. You can find opportunities to build those skills almost anywhere if you’re looking closely and that’s exactly why I started this page. This week it was the Franklin Square Chinese Lantern Festival for us! The kids played for 4 hours straight and we still had to drag them out of there. Definitely a must visit in our book ❤️. Visit between now and August 15th!

This is exactly why I created Playlates® — because I never wanted moms to feel like they had to choose between moving their bodies and playing with their kids.
Today’s workout was far from “perfect,” but honestly those are usually my favorite ones. M became my biggest cheerleader, jumped in for half the exercises, and was secretly building his own strength right alongside me. 🥹
As a pediatric PT, one of my favorite things is helping kids develop a love for movement early on — not as punishment or pressure, but as something fun that helps them feel strong and confident enough to take on every adventure life throws at them. Whether that’s trying a new sport, climbing every rock on vacation, or just keeping up with childhood.

And a reminder your workouts do NOT have to look good to count 😂 Mine currently involve interruptions and the aggressively millennial Spotify playlist “Y2K Hot Girl Sh*t” carrying me through every squat.

Movement is movement. Your kids are watching. And sometimes the messy workouts become the best memories. 💛

Follow along for realistic motherhood, movement, pediatric PT tips, and raising 3 adventurous kids who love to move.

I say this because running a small business is probably the most challenging thing I have ever done. There have been days with 10 families in a class and others with 0 sign-ups… but I showed up anyway, just in case.

Despite the ups and downs, despite classes currently being on hold thanks to the best surprise baby, we won a Love Award FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW because our community believes in us. 💕

Thank you to every family who has trusted us to support you and your children, shared precious milestones with me (from first rolls to first steps), and taken the time to leave reviews, nominate us for awards, or tell another family about us because our impact felt meaningful enough that more people should know we exist. An extra special thank you to for always giving us space to host class, grow, and collaborate. And the biggest thank you to Kevin for supporting every dream and wild idea, even when I have more ideas than time, change directions mid-plan, or decide investing in our business is worth more than playing it safe.

It’s always such an honor being in rooms like this surrounded by so many incredible people — people chasing dreams, building meaningful things, and pouring so much heart into their communities. Truly some of the most beautiful people I know inside and out.

I’m so grateful for every person who has become “phamily” along the way, whether you’re a client, fellow business owner, referral source, collaborator, or someone cheering us on from afar. We can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for Phun Phit Pham. ✨

When your husband actually catches a cute candid of you and the kids 🙌

Also a great opportunity to talk about baby wearing. One of the many reasons I started this account was because I’d often see parents going about their day making choices that unknowingly put the kids at risk, including poor positioning in carriers. While I love sharing our adventures, my goal has always been to also raise awareness on how to help your kids thrive while doing it. So here’s my quick baby wearing tips….

🤍 Keep baby “close enough to kiss” — their face should be high on your chest where you can easily look down and kiss the top of their head. This helps keep their airway visible and open while also making monitoring easier.
🦴 Aim for an “M” position with baby’s hips — knees slightly higher than the bum with legs supported. This position helps promote healthy hip development and keeps baby more comfortably aligned.
👶 Choose the right carry + carrier for your baby’s age and development. For newborns and younger babies (like D’s age), inward-facing is recommended so their head, neck, spine, and hips are fully supported. Facing outward is typically recommended several months later once baby has strong head/neck/trunk control.
🌬️ Always keep baby’s face visible and airways clear — avoid fabric covering their nose/mouth and keep their chin from tucking tightly to their chest.
💪 Baby wearing should feel supportive for BOTH of you! Tight enough that baby doesn’t slump, but comfortable enough that you’re not straining your back or shoulders.
✨ And if you’re struggling with baby wearing, there are actually providers who go on to become certified baby wearing specialists! I’m NOT one, but here are a few accounts/resources I personally love and trust ➡️ .ot

Finding indoor activities that genuinely work for both kids AND parents can feel impossible… but Arnold’s Family Fun Center really surprised us. Between the active play, family-friendly setup, options for multiple ages, and spaces where parents can actually relax for a minute, this ended up being one of those spots we immediately said we’d come back to.

Perfect for rainy days, extreme temps, or when your kids just need to MOVE. 🙌

Have you been here yet?!
