Shipping update from FIBRE (owner of Montaime) - April 2026
Since November, Montaime’s been pushing hard to get physical releases out. After March’s Bandcamp Friday, I slowed Montaime to barebones operations to recover from an exhausting last few months.
Orders are fulfilled by me (plus 1-2 others depending on volume). The goal was to ship everything by early April, but we submitted manufacturing orders too late. I apologize for this and take full responsibility.
See the image below for specifics. Odd Q***r is very late, but we’re working hard to avoid further delays. We ask you please hold onto your preorder as refunds would likely cancel the record due to low numbers. We are also going to be dedicating time to providing clear manufacturing updates for all of these, especially Odd Q***r for proof that these releases will arrive soon.
A combination of overwork, issues with our Canada-based vinyl plant, tariffs, the looming worldwide energy crisis, and behind the scenes turmoil all contributed to this. But now, we’re pacing ourselves better. Some financial issues remain, and we’re trying to handle them as responsibly as possible. We are going to try to keep going as long as we can, fingers crossed.
Going forward, we’ll have to focus more on CDs & tapes. Future vinyl releases will cost ~$30 per copy as we can no longer do $22–25 fancy records. $25 in 2019 is about $32.50 now, so we’d still be charging under inflation rate even with this.
This all comes at a time where if we don’t adapt, Montaime would almost certainly end. Things are so much harder to do than in 2019, but we’re trying to slowly returning to some level of normalcy and regular operation. Thank you for sticking with us. ❤️
