No wonder he portrayed the voice of Snow Miser, his birthday was yesterday... 100 years ago. Dick Shawn, actor, comedian and singer was born in Buffalo, N.Y. He was best known as Snow Miser in Rankin/Bass "The Year Without A Santa Claus" in the mid 1970's, Sheriff Bing Bell in "Evil Roy Slade" starring John Astin, Stan Starkey in "Maid To Order" starring Ally Sheedy, Beverly D'Angelo, Tom Skerritt and Valerie Perrine in 1987. Dick was a funny guy and a brilliant actor.
