Press Release from Salsay Weyane Tigray

The Ethiopian government continues to entrench policies that deliberately exacerbate the plight of Tigrayan internally displaced persons (IDPs) originating from Western Tigray.

In addition to its persistent failure to respond promptly to the severe humanitarian and hunger crises affecting IDP camps across Tigray, the government has actively engaged in measures that obstruct a sustainable return process, in clear violation of the Constitution and the Pretoria Peace Agreement.

A salient example of these unlawful practices is the issuance of the recently introduced national identification cards (Fayda) to residents of the occupied areas of Western Tigray without specifying zonal and national regional administrative addresses.

This deliberate omission constitutes an attempt to legitimize and perpetuate the ongoing unlawful incorporation of constitutionally recognized Tigrayan territories into another administration.
Such actions represent the final phase of an established pattern of crimes amounting to ethnic cleansing perpetrated by government forces and their allies against the Tigrayan population.

The objective is unmistakable: to condemn more than one million IDPs and refugees to prolonged displacement and indefinite confinement in IDP and refugee camps.

Salsay Weyane reiterates its unequivocal denunciation of these actions as part of its consistent and principled opposition to the Ethiopian government’s unlawful conduct in the occupied areas of Western Tigray.

ካብ ምዕራብ ትግራይ፡ ካብታ ሙውቕቲ ቤቱ ካብታ ሓላል ርስቱ ብሓይልን ገበን ተፈፂምዎን ዝተፈናቐለ ህዝቢ ንውዕሊ ፕሪቶሪያ ስዒቡ ናብ መረበቱ ክምለስ ግድን እኳ እንተነበረ፤ ዛጊድ ከይተመለሰ ኣብ 'ዝተበጣጠሱ ኬንዳታት' ኣብ ሕሱም ስቓይ ይርከብ። 'ኣብ ልዕሊ ቁስሊ ጨው' ከምዝበሃል 'ፋይዳ' ብዝብል ስም ዝልለ መለለይ መንነት ኣብ መላእ እዛ ሃገር እንትወሃብን ቅጥዒ ኣድራሻ ተጠቀምቲ እንትምላእ፡ ተወለድቲ ምዕራብ ትግራይ ኣብ ዝመልእዎ ቅጥዒ ግን፡ ዞባን ክልልን ዝገለፀሉ ቦታ ባዶ ብምግባር፡ ትግራዋይነት ምዕራብ ትግራይ ክቕንጥጥ ዝፍትን ስራሕቲ ይዕመሙ ኣለው።

መንግስቲ ኢትዮጵያ ዝፈፀሞ ዘርኢ ምፅናትን ምፅራይን ከይኣክል፡ ህዝቢ ትግራይ ብሓፈሻ፡ ህዝቢ ምዕራብ ትግራይ ድማ ብፉሉይ ንጥሜትን ሞትን ምስጥሑ ከይኣክል፡ ሐዚ እውን መንነትን ጂኦግራፍን ናይ ምልዋጥ ስራሕቱ ብቕሉዕ ይቕፅለሉ ከምዘሎ እቲ ናይ 'ፋይዳ' ተግባር ተወሳኺ መርኣያ እዩ።

ኽፋል ትግራይ 'ዘማሓድር' ዘሎ 'ግዝያዊ ምምሕዳር' ድማ ብፍላይ ኣብ ኽንዲ ዓቕምታት ትግራይ ኣብ ምእካብ መጋበሪያ ብሄረ ትግራይ ኣብ ምፍራስ ዝተዋፈሩ ሰበ ህወሓት ኮይኑ ኣሎ።

ካብ ዘለናዮ ሲኦል-መሰል ኩነት ይኹን ካብ ዝተረግረግናዮ ከም ብሄር ናይ ምጥፋእ ሓደጋ መዋፅኦ ክኸውን ዝኽእል፡ ምልኣተ-ሊሂቅ ትግራይ ንብሄራዊ ጉባኤ ኣብ ዝፅውዕ ስራሕቲ እንትኸትት ከምዝኾነ ሳልሳይ ወያነ ትግራይ ብፅኑዕ ይኣምን። ስለዚ ንኹሎም ፖለቲካ ሓይልታት ይኹን ንትግራይ ዝረብሑ ሓሳባት ዘዋፅእሉ ብሄራዊ ጉባኤ ተግባራዊ ክኸውን ኩሉ ወገን ፀቕጥን ተግባራዊ ቃልስን ኣብ ዝገብረሉ ቁርፂ እዋን ከምዘለናን ንተፈፃምነቱ ድማ ሳልሳይ ወያነ ትግራይ ኩሉንተናዊ ዓቕሙ ከምዘኽትትን፡ ዝምልከቶም ሓይልታት ፖለቲካ ኹሎም ኣብዚ ብሄር ዘድሕን ዕማም ክረባረቡን ድማ ይፅውዕ።
