Although Donie and I had fun recording this song and putting together the video, there is a serious message we want to send to Aer Lingus, the national airline of our homeland. When you put our guitars down below in the hold they are often subject to mishandling by baggage handlers as well as the climatic conditions that are not suitable to our instruments. We'd also like to draw attention to the fact that we troubadours and balladeers are some of your best customers. Not only that we fly much more often than the norm. We accompany tour groups to Ireland. We sing about the mountains and valleys and hills and hollows of our homelands nightly, and are as good as a traveling infomercial for your business. We don't mean to attack the inflight staff of Aer Lingus or any other airline, most of whom extend the greatest courtesy to us. But the ground crews at Irish airports seem to have it in for musicians these days. And it's got to stop. To the traveling public, please offer to put your wheel aways in the hold and let us take our tools of the trade on board. Thank you and please share this video on social media. Donie and Gabriel.
