A LETTER FROM OUR PUBLISHER & EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Dear Generocity Community,
As we reflect on the results of the 2024 election, it is increasingly clear that the role of philanthropy and community engagement has never been more important. Not just to get out the vote, but to address the pressing needs of our communities and advocate for positive change.
The election demonstrated the importance of civic engagement and the power of individual voices. As philanthropists and community leaders, we have a responsibility to foster an environment where all voices are heard and people's needs are addressed.
As we move into 2025, philanthropy will need to fully embrace advocacy. As governments and communities become increasingly polarized, nonprofits and foundations must play a role in advancing public interest values and driving policy reform. This means engaging diverse members of the community - from citizens to policymakers from all walks of life - and developing strategies that mobilize public and political will to achieve meaningful goals at scale.
At Generocity, we will continue to report on all things related to philanthropy and social impact, drawing on insights from the community. We will continue to listen and report on stories and issues that matter most to them - in hopes of providing the facts, ideas, resources, and narratives to help you make informed decisions.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's special post-election coverage and monthly newsletter.
