Although the last 4 weeks has been a whirlwind with DeMya having her Sweet 16, going to Greece and Italy with her classmates, getting her permit, Bree’s birthday, and now DeDe’s junior prom sendoff, we still have to take time for us.

BUT we both were at the restaurant trying to keep our eyes open.

Welp, TODAY is the OFFICIAL day 16 years ago DeMya (DeDe/Cita) .just_dd made her grand entrance into this world.

All the labor pain had a purpose. The purpose is now a 16-year old smart, intelligent and lovely young woman of God determined to succeed.

I decree and declare everything she touches and puts her mind to will honor the Lord first and bless people worldwide.

Trevor & I are beyond proud to call her our daughter and thankful to God for such a blessed gift!

Even in the toughest of times when it feels as though no one cares and no one is there we must remember that God is still in control.

No weapon the enemy throws our way will ever pe*****te because we are protected by the armor of God.

So when the enemy comes in like the flood, don’t get discouraged because God Almighty will set a standard against it.

Ride the wave, 🌊 knowing that you won’t even get wet in this process, but you’ll be stronger, 💪🏽wiser and more in tuned with the Lord.
