Despite its considerable running time, “Gloom Chaser” feels remarkably agile and unpredictable, constantly shifting between ideas while balancing progressive intricacy, urgency and darker atmospheric passages.
The song portrays a delusion in which melancholy is mistaken for truth and solace, framed as a dialogue between the person living inside that belief and a friend trying to challenge it.

Norwegian technical death metal force CELESTIAL SCOURGE will return with their second full-length album “Exomia”, due later this year via Time To Kill Records.
Following 2025’s “Observers of the Inevitable”, the new album continues the band’s sci-fi narrative, following humanity’s evacuation from Earth and arrival on a seemingly deserted new world hiding a terrifying reality.
Musically, “Exomia” delivers a sharper and more aggressive take on the band’s technical/brutal death metal, combining crushing intensity, intricate musicianship and memorable riffs.
