Did you know this about triathlons? Most people know triathlons are a combination of swimming, then biking, then running. But the total race time also includes getting from each phase of the race to the next phase and getting ready for that next phase. After you swim you have to run several hundred yards to the “transition area” where your bike and gear is stored with hundreds of other racers’ bikes and gear. Then you take off your swim cap, goggles, and if the water is very cold, your wetsuit. Next you get the sand off your feet, put on socks, shoes, race belt, and helmet, then run with your bike until you get to the exit of the transition area. Then you start the bike phase. You are being timed for the swim, bike, run AND 2 transitions. The clock never stops running in a triathlon race. 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Went from Orlando, FL to Des Moines, IA for the weekend to deliver the keynote speech at their statewide annual conference. (check out the speech, the themed nails 💅, awesome fireman, and party at the BB game) It was a good time supporting a great cause with wonderful people! They say Iowa has very good mid-western hospitality. We can testify that is definitely true! Thanks for the warm welcome 💖
