“Islands,” the first track on “Voyages,” was composed by Snorri Birgisson as a result of the decades long collaboration and cultural exchange between the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Temple Music Prep’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians and Tónskóli Sigursveins D. Kristinssonar music school in Reykjavík, Iceland.

This composition, written for and premiered by this ensemble, will be available December 12 on all streaming platforms, aside 3 other pieces on BCM&D’s next release, “Voyages.”

Applications for the BCM&D Album Competition are due in just ONE WEEK!!

Want a professional recording by the staff here at BCM&D, along with other prizes such as a professional photoshoot and a $2,000 cash award? Apply by next Friday, November 21st, including a self tape or practice recording, which does not need to be professional.

Good luck! Winners will be announced on Monday, January 26th, with a recording session on Friday, February 6th in the Temple Performing Arts Center. More information at the link in bio!
