I was honored to stand ✊🏾with @senvincenthughes @senhughesoffice to fight to free the 💸💵💸
Statement from Sen. Hughes “the PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency just announced the award of $15.7M 💵in grants to violence prevention organizations across PA.  This grant money is new and we are glad to have played a role in getting these funds in position to address the issue of the growing crisis of violence in all communities across Pennsylvania.
 
Although we expect another round of grants to be funded with the remaining $8M, 💵it is clear that the violence crisis needs more attention and more funding.
 
Only if we raise our voices📣 and make an unequivocal demand, will we get a response.  I need your help to make point that all Philadelphians need and deserve to be safe!

Together, we can make a  public demand for more state resources to address the pandemic of violence plaguing our neighborhoods.  This event is targeted towards you and other violence prevention leaders, since you are on the front line playing a huge role in attempting to stem the tide. We know if we get the resources to you and your violence prevention partners, we will win this fight.  Be clear, the State which is sitting on 💸$7B 🤷🏽‍♀️in unspent American Rescue Plan dollars, has the  money, we just need your voice to demand that it be released.  Simply put, we must Free The Funds.”

✊🏾B.C.A. ACTIONIST TOWN WATCH took to the streets last night patrolling the areas 54th and Chestnut, Walnut and Sansom Streets where just last week a 31 y/o male was fatally shot 8 times.
