Back in 2005, MONSTER TRACKS produced a CD of educational songs for Commerce Bank titled "Money Rocks." But TD Bank purchased Commerce shortly after the project was completed, so only a small number of copies was ever distributed.
Nevertheless, over the years I've received messages from some of the few who did receive the CD and wanted to express their appreciation. One that reached my inbox last week is typical:
"I was deep diving for some childhood songs my siblings and I were obsessed with. In the early 2000s [our] school was hosting an event with Commerce Bank to teach kids financial literacy. As part of this event, we were given the Money Rocks CD. I can't express to you the amount of times my little sisters and I listened to that CD. To this day I can still recite [the] lyrics. Today the topic of these songs came up and I wondered if they existed online anywhere. I [wanted] Chuck to know how big of an impact his work had on 3 little girls in 2005. Those were our favorite songs for so long. And for all these years we have wished we could listen to them again. We still do. I would be forever grateful if you could point me in the direction of where we can listen to them again."
I was touched by this message, so after all these years I have finally uploaded the complete work to YouTube. I hope this will give others the opportunity to enjoy some music that I and my fellow MONSTER TRACKS musicians had great fun creating.
