Happy birthday, Monica! You are so loved and missed.

Monica Roberts is our recent ancestor who as a transgender human rights journalist, pioneered accurate pronouns and gender identity of transgender people in media. She was instrumental in creating the guidelines for trans affirming media coverage.
She was also a celebrated archivist of transgender culture- our TransGriot.

Learn more about her and her lifelong commitment to liberation of trans folks by reading her writings on her website, TransGriot, where she documented the stories and lives of transgender history for nearly 2 decades.

What up ***rWOC fam. Join me next Wednesday evening on IG live in supporting another q***r therapist of color. We will discuss what professional abuse looks like, explore Phalande's particular experience of harm from a therapy mentor, and name steps toward repair for these harms. If you're an OG listener, then you are probably already familiar with the nonpareil . If you're new around these parts, they are a brilliant q***r therapist, licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. There are so few competent radical therapists that work with our communities. Let's show this care worker some support πŸ™ŒπŸΏ

I know this is is a late Spotify wrapped post [and honestly its still f**k Spotify ova here] but I wanted to post this anyways. After beating myself up about not being able to release more content this year I reminded myself that I am a human. Im a one woman team behind this podcast. Its a pandemic. America is a hot mess. I moved twice. I lost people I love dearly. I got sick. And through it all I managed to release 8 episodes this year.

I didn't do any of this alone. I have friends who loved me through it. I have a podcast community who loved me through it. And I had yall, telling me to take my time and being the most supportive Q***rWOC community I could have ever dreamed of. Yall contributed so much more to me than any Spotify numbers could reflect. Yall not only made the podcast feel possible to continue (because I promise I wanted to quit), but yall made me feel more possible too. Thanks for every listen, share, rating, comment, message, dollar, double tap, and reply. Posting this smile (last pic) as inspiration for the new year of ***rWOC. I love yall πŸ’›

The latest episode of ***rWOC the Podcast is up now! "Ep 104: When They Call You a Homeowner". Money gives some suggestions on how to build vicarious resilience.
