Macmillan Audio invites you to apply for our in person New Narrators Event in Philadelphia. This event is intended for NEW Narrators that are Underrepresented and/or Marginalized voices in the performing arts. This event will offer an opportunity to experience: director training, recording in studios, Q&A with audiobook producers, plus marketing & publicity advice.

Our event is designed to give you real, practical and applicable skills you can use for developing a career in audiobook narration. You will receive two edited narration samples that you'll record in studio directed by a Macmillan Audio producer, and you will be invited to join our narrator database for consideration for future Macmillan projects.

This event is free. There are limited places available. Please note that the New Narrators Event is intended for actors who have not recorded many audiobooks and who have not had the chance to work directly with the current Macmillan producers. We ask that experienced narrators and those who have worked with Macmillan in the past two years, please refrain from applying. We are hoping to pilot an event for mid-career narrators soon.

First Event: Thursday, October 26, 4pm-7pm
Second Event: Friday, October 27, 12pm-3pm

We are profoundly saddened to learn that the great Tom Moran has departed. Best known as a DJ on WIP and WPEN, Tom was also a talented commercial announcer and narrator and a fixture in our studios for decades. We will miss his upbeat personality, his sense of humor, his warmth, the genuine care he showed for colleagues, friends, and family, and, of course, his incredible voice.
