I recently read a book called Always Say Hi: The Introverts Guide to Overcoming Rejection by John Antonio, and I can't recommend it enough!

As a Marketing and Outreach Manager, as well as all my work in non-profits building connections is a key part of everything I do and this book offered a refreshing perspective on making meaningful connections without the exhaustion of traditional networking.

Whether you're an introvert, extrovert with a social cup like me, or just tired of the typical social scene, this book introduces a game-changing approach to meeting amazing people in our everyday lives. From daily commutes to solo travel, Antonio shows how even the shyest among us can create connections for both love and friendship, but I actually found this relevant for career networking as well. Sometimes building that connection is as simple as saying “Hi” to someone at a networking event.

What I love most is the emphasis on the natural introvert superpower of speaking to strangers comfortably. The book provides practical strategies for making spontaneous connections, especially when pursuing activities you love. It's not just about romance or friendship—it's about the vital human connection we all need.
