Our May 2026 Creator Highlight takes focus on rotary aviation expert, Heli Sim Pilot!
With a family history in the Air Force, HSP originated his love for flight simulation in FS2004. Originally enjoying airliners like the Boeing 737, he switched to helicopters after being inspired by the precision and skill of the 160th SOAR of the U.S. Army.
His passion for recording content came after the launch of MSFS (2020), with flying helicopters being more engaging and enjoyable as terrain, cities, and landscapes suddenly felt alive! With an aim to give his viewers the sense of feeling like they are sitting in the aircraft, rather than watching from the outside, Heli Sim Pilot is an expert at immersive first-person POV videos.
While he's never had the opportunity to fly one in real life, HSP remarks on how MSFS gives him the closest experience he can get to the real thing. As HSP continues to share his experiences and explorations of different places with his community, he's looking forward to more features being added into MSFS to further increase functionality and immersive realism.
