Did you play “Space Ace” in the arcade? It was another interactive LaserDisc video game released in 1983 that featured more animation from Don Bluth. The gameplay was extremely similar to, “Dragon’s Lair”. I played this one both in the arcade and on the home version for the Commodore Amiga. Space Ace follows the adventures of Dexter, also known as "Ace". He’s on a mission to stop Commander Borf, who is trying to attack Earth with the "Infanto Ray", which turns adults into infants. Borf kidnaps Ace’s sidekick, Kimberly, who becomes the damsel in distress. I always loved the game “Dragon’s Lair” so much and once I saw a ‘space style’ version of that game, I was hooked! Did you play “Dragon’s Lair” in the arcade? It was an interactive LaserDisc video game released in 1983 that featured animation from the one and only… Don Bluth. I remember playing this for the first time at “Golf N’ Stuff” in Phoenix, Arizona and finally owning a home version for the Commodore Amiga. Dirk the Daring is a knight trying to rescue Princess Daphne from the evil dragon Singe who has locked the princess in Mordroc's castle. Did you ever play “Barnstorming” on the Atari 2600? It was basically a race against the clock, side scrolling, flying game where the goal was to fly through a set number of barns in the shortest time possible. It was released in 1982 by Activision and as I kid, I felt like I was actually piloting a biplane. You couldn’t even crash the plane! You just bumped into things and got knocked back. I spotted “Matty” the Verlo Mattress mascot hanging out inside of the “U” on our 98KUPD Official sign in the studio. Pretty sure he comes with every mattress purchased at Verlo Mattress ! One more reason to visit their store in Glendale and sleep better with Verlo Mattress! I’ve never slept so well… that’s the truth!
