Working in behavior and social–emotional support is no joke🫠😮‍💨

Some days the kids’ triggers hit my own. Some days their home chaos walks into the classroom and sits right on my desk, waiting for me to help them navigate what they’re too young to even understand. And I do it unmedicated

Then on top of that… the world is heavy, the government is wild, and our kids are carrying things no child should ever have to carry. And still, for 7 years, I’ve showed up. I’ve stayed committed, grown in my field, and continued to pour from a place I never thought I’d have the strength to maintain.

I’m not “supposed” to be able to keep a career like this -but look at God and look at growth. I’m proud of me. And I’m grateful, deeply. 🌱

I can feel the shift already — the shorter days, the heavier moods — but I refuse to let it take me under this time. Nah, we’re not doing that this year. 🙅🏽‍♀️

This season, I’m protecting my peace on purpose:
☕️ Get sunlight every day — even if it’s just 10 minutes.
💬 Check in with your people. Isolation feeds the darkness.
🧘🏽 Move your body — even a short walk helps your mood.
🙏🏽 Pray, journal, breathe. Let it out before it builds up.
🕯️ Do one small thing every day that makes your soul smile.

Seasonal depression might knock, but it’s not moving in. Not this year.

Let’s hold each other accountable and choose light, even when it’s dim outside. 💛
